#workshop #bedford #library #summer reading challenge #mythical maze #monsters #multi-media
A few months ago I was invited down to Shefford library to celebrate their grand re-opening with a Multi-media Mural workshop. The theme was Mythical Maze to tie in with this summer’s reading challenge, and over two hours myself and 6 talented young people worked with stamps, collage, pens, pastels and A LOT of pritt-stick to recreate my rough design on on a massive A0 board! Check out the comparison! I’d say we got it pretty much spot on :)
Many thanks to Jo, Victoria and the library staff for all their help on the day! (oh and my mum for driving me there!)

So I went to see Maleficent today and it was amazing! Angelina really added so many dimensions to her character; equal parts hilarious, endearing and terrifying all at once. I could help but doodle as soon as I came home…

Here are the latest pieces I’ve illustrated as part of a 1950s exhibition with The Circus of Illustration. These and a whole host of other fabulous work can be seen at BedPop on the High Street in Bedford every weekend until the 8th June.
There are lots of amazing prints available and we are currently organising a series of workshops (kicked off rather fabulously by Dress-Up Drawing last week) so be sure to check it out!

My my my! Who is this?
Why it’s Fantastic Mr Fox himself. But quiet now, old Mr Fox looks like he’s up to something. He’s obviously busy preparing for Novus Theatre’s upcoming production and we don’t want him to get caught ;)

The sun is out properly for the first time today (i.e. I haven’t had to turn the heating up!) and it put me in a springtime mood…
